Mitac exhibits MiAION for edge computing market

Mitac Information Technology Corp. is optimistic about the edge computing of AI- IoT, and has introduced three models of server for machine learning, smart city IoT and Industry 4.0, with built-in systems and middleware, displaying in the CUMPUTEX 2018, the SmarTEX exhibition area.

MiTAC was an early provider of public cloud service in Taiwan. As increasing devices of urban IoT has become more diversified, centered cloud computing has no longer offered to rapid and secured computing of mass data in real-time.

MiTac has decided to enter the edge-computing market with MiAION, an edge server between the cloud and end devices for the IoT devices-to-end data filtering, optimizing and intelligent processing.

Combining MiCloud and MiAION, this distributed architecture of mixed-cloud allowing MiTAC improve overall process efficiency and fulfill the low-latency need, is total cloud solution rarely seen in the market.

Combined with MiCloud, built-in Middleware and operating system, racking up a complete cloud solution

MITAC Information Technology Corp. chairman, Liang Su said that MiAION is not a general kind of server. The server designed on the perspective of IoT, holds a built-in dedicated operating system and middleware, enables down-concatenate collected data of ends, which is what we specialize in, and connects tp our MiCloud platform to rack up a total cloud solution.
