The 2026 Smart City Summit & Expo (SCSE) and Net-Zero City Expo concluded with resounding success on March 22. Held simultaneously across dual venues in Taipei and Kaohsiung, this year’s grand event attracted nearly 160,000 visitors. The expo hosted municipal delegations from 174 cities across 53 countries—a 17% increase from the previous year—alongside more than 3,000 overseas business owners, reaching a record-breaking scale. The organizer, Taipei Computer Association (TCA), stated that this year’s expo explicitly highlighted that Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become the digital backbone of urban development, continuously accelerating the deployment and practical implementation of smart applications. By replicating train operating statuses in real time, it assists operating units such as the Taiwan Railways Administration in conducting smart management, achieving precision maintenance, and elevating safety levels.
